There were previous rumors that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would get out of retirement and come back to fight Conor McGregor. However, recent reports hinted that it is unlikely that the undefeated boxing champ would face the UFC star soon.

There were previous reports that Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor already agreed to the fight in May 2016 but were still working on the documents and fight purse. However, UFC president, Dana White said that the stories are not true.

“It’s not true; it’s just a tabloid story. And as far as I knew, Floyd is retired and he’s been on a worldwide vacation and hasn’t even been thinking of fighting,” White said in a Yahoo report.

According to the Sun, Floyd Mayweather was slated to earn at least $144.8 million, while McGregor will be paid $10.1 million in the boxing match.

Floyd Mayweather allegedly got angry after Conor McGregor claimed that he would crush the champ and knock him out in 30 seconds. Floyd was reportedly focused on proving Conor wrong. Floyd was said to have called the conditions of the match, which will require Conor to use his boxing skills only, as well as lose about 25lbs, among other things.
