Last year the Duggars had the darkest hours of their lives due to Josh Duggar's scandal. The controversy cost them their reality show '19 Kids and Counting.' The once respected family was put in a bad light. However, according to a new report, for Michelle Duggar changing diapers and laundry were more difficult than what the family went through last year.
The Duggars And The Sex Scandal
Josh Duggar reportedly molested several underage girls when he was a teenager. However, that's not all. The oldest child of the '19 Kids and Counting' clan admitted that he cheated on his wife, Anna Duggar. He added that he was addicted to porn per Inquisitr.
In fact, Josh Duggar was one of the customers of the popular infidelity website, Ashley Madison per Parent Herald. When the site was hacked, Josh's membership in the site was revealed and it was learned that he paid almost $1000 for their services. However, despite the controversial sex scandal, Michelle Duggar doesn't count it as one of her darkest moments.
Michelle Duggar's Lowest Point
In a recent blog post, Michelle Duggar recalled some of the lowest points in her life that involved laundry and changing diapers. Josh's scandal never made it in the post.
The reality mom shared that there was a time when at 1:00 a.m she was still folding laundry with tears streaming down her cheeks. The parenting duties seemed to burn her out that she cried, "LORD I NEED YOUR HELP, I can't do it all! I feel so inadequate! Diapers, dishes, laundry, meals, cleanup, school lessons, baths, hugs, kisses, correction..." Michelle wrote on their family blog.
During that time, she was reminded to still praise the Lord even at the hardest time of her life. "OK Lord, I will praise you even now! It really is a sacrifice! So through the tears I began to sing, 'The joy of the Lord is my strength,'" Michelle Duggar said.
"In my heart, there was a release as if a burden had been lifted, Michelle continued. "I finished the laundry at 2 AM and went to bed."
God Sends An Angel Named 'NaNa'
After that event, God sent her an angel to help her with the laundry. They had a family friend, a piano teacher they called "NaNa" who enjoyed doing laundry.
So NaNa would come over on weekends to do their mountains of dirty laundry and when she left, the family had nice, neat and orderly stacks of clean laundry. The Duggar matriarch ended her post reminding everyone that where God guides, He provides.
