Paul Walker's sunglasses worn at the time of his death are being auctioned online along with other related items.
A witness to the car crash included the fire extinguisher that was used in an attempt to save "The Fast and Furious" actor's life and a piece of debris from the crash that took place Nov. 30.
The items are currently being auctioned on BidAMI.com.
Walker's soiled Maui Jam sunglasses were picked up by an unnamed owner shortly after the accident.
"Once the site investigation was cleared with car debris hauled away and tape taken down, a responding officer allowed him as well as others back to the public site," the auction listing reads. "The glasses found in nearby ivy were dirty so he wrapped them in a handkerchief and put them in his pocket."
An employee of BidAMI, named Kieta, confirmed that it "photo-matched the sunglasses to the ones Paul was wearing" when he died. The same spokeswoman, who refused to disclose her surname, told the NY Daily News: "And of course (verified) the statement from the person who obtained them."
The bidding for the sunglasses was up to $1,740 before it closed due to overwhelming traffic. Despite more than 4,000 views, only four people have actually bid for it, with many citing questions of authenticity and appropriateness.
Some are questioning why Walker's things are being auctioned instead of just given to his family.
BidAMI, the auction website, claimed that part of the proceeds gained from auctioning Walker's sunglasses and other items will benefit the Saving America's Mustangs Foundation.
Kieta also assured that their intentions came from a "place of respect."
