According to Ecumenical News, many fans were overjoyed with the resurrection of the crowd favorite character Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in "Game of Thrones" season 6. Unfortunately, there are no concrete updates about "The Winds of Winter."
However, per the report, the last update from George R.R. Martin was that he was working overtime to finish "TWOW." George R.R. Martin had been expressing his interest in finishing the book. In fact, Parent Herald previously reported that the celebrity author would not be accepting any project until he finishes "The Winds of Winter."
'The Winds of Winter' Coming Out This May
There were reports claiming that "The Winds of Winter" will be released in May. If reports are true, we will be seeing the long overdue novel in the bookshelves this month. Balticon is a regional science fiction and fantasy convention where arts and literature are celebrated. According to their website, there will be a Feast of Ice and Fire Dinner Companions with "The Winds of Winter" author George R.R. Martin.
The said event marks the organization's 50th anniversary. It will be held on May 27 and will last until May 30. The four-day program will feature authors, publishers, editors, scientists and several other artists. It is expected that the audience will grill George R.R. Martin about his progress on "The Winds of Winter."
