Here's How 'Remake Learning' Plans To Reinvent Education For The Future

Nowadays, it simply is not enough to send a child to school. According to Gregg Behr of Pittsburgh's Remake Learning, the process of getting knowledge across needs to adhere with the changing times to make sure children can get the education they deserve. But how is Remake Learning reinventing education for your kids?

Why Reinvent Education?

"Kids today are bombarded with a wealth of information, which they can access on unique new tools and devices," Gregg Behr told Forbes. "They are tasked with making sense of complex content and events, and acquiring skillsets that will position them for success in a competitive global economy."

Gregg Behr also pointed out that the changing times can make it difficult to determine what is in store for children in the future. He insisted that it is important to instill "curiousity and initiative" in children to ensure they will always seek knowledge.

How Does Remake Education Work?

The Grable Foundation executive director had a few ideas on how to improve education for children through Remake Learning. "Our education system should give young people the chance to tinker, explore, and experiment-to design and iterate solutions to problems, and to work together alongside peers with diverse experiences and backgrounds," Behr said.

Gregg Behr explained further how Remake Learning is working to make sure children will get the best education possible. But how? Apparently, Remake Learning will try to execute their goals by collaborating with people who can make a change.

He stated that Remake Learning is working with educators as well as scientists and other creative minds all in collaboration. "Through these partnerships we've created an ecosystem of learning for our children and youth," Behr said.

Is Remake Learning Network For All Children?

The collaboration between educators and several creative minds has proven to be very effective. Behr explained that Remake Learning has created "innovative new labs" that allows a professor to work with people who can make a software that will allow children to learn better. "Remake Learning" boasts of programs that are suitable to every type of student.

Remake Learning currently has a week-long celebration in Pittsburgh called Remake Learning Days. It will run from May 9 to May 15.
