Dealing with children could either be a joy or a nightmare for some. There are people who are gifted when it comes to handling kids, especially those who are five to six-year-olds. These are the ages when kids are more active and could test one's patience because they are curious about almost everything.
On the other hand, there are those who can handle these kids with grace and compassion. Those people are often called kindergarten teachers. Today, you would learn some nuggets of wisdom from these teachers on how you too would approach children who are around five to six years of age.
Having a pleasant personality and good character could help in winning a child's attention. It would be easy for them to light up and smile at you once they sense that you are warm and sincere to them. If you think kids won't be able to feel your intention, you would be surprised at how gifted they are in discerning you.
2. Inspire Them With Music
One of the best ways to win a child's heart is through music. If you're a parent, introduce your child in learning some musical instrument and see how their social skills improve.
3. Teach Them To Be Responsible
It is possible to encourage your five-year-olds to be responsible and still gain their love and affection. Ask them to do little chores like cleaning up after their toys or making sure they have brushed their teeth.
4. Don't Forget Their Age
Before you go hard on them, remember that they are only 5 or 6 years olds. Sometimes this is what most adults forget when these kids throw a tantrum or whenever they act their age. If you're one of those, be extra patient knowing they are only children.
5. Patience Is A Virtue
It is a must that you are flexible when it comes to the cognitive ability of your child. Not all kids are the same when it comes to understanding stuff. You need to be extra patient in this area.
