'Ant-Man And The Wasp' RUMOR: Will Sharon Stone Play Original Wasp Janet van Dyne Opposite Michael Douglas?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has just added Sharon Stone to its impressive list of strong women playing equally powerful female heroes. But is it possible that she will be reunited with "Basic Instinct" costar Michael Douglas in "Ant-Man and The Wasp?"

'A Wee Part'

Sharon Stone was recently a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden (via Coming Soon), where she admitted that she will appear in an MCU film. "I'm just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can't tell, because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements," Stone told Corden.

Then Sharon Stone repeated that odd phrase one more time. "But I'm going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That's it," she concluded.

The strange phrase that Sharon Stone kept saying was immediately picked up by fans as a hint to who she will portray in a Marvel flick (via CinemaBlend). There are currently speculations that Sharon Stone will play the original Wasp Janet van Dyne, who happens to be the mother of current Wasp Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly).

A "Basic Instinct" Reunion?

Janet van Dyne certainly sounds like an excellent role to play for Sharon Stone, since the Marvel character was married to Hank Pym, who was portrayed by Michael Douglas in last year's "Ant-Man." It has recently been confirmed that Michael Douglas will return in the sequel and there is a possibility that fans will see the original Ant-Man and The Wasp (Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne) in action. But what if Sharon Stone isn't part of the "Ant-Man and The Wasp" cast?

Could Sharon Stone Play An Asgardian In "Thor: Ragnarok?"

There have been speculations that "Thor: Ragnarok" will feature two female villains who will go up against the Odinson. CinemaBlend has reported that Cate Blanchett has been confirmed to play one of the baddies, but will Sharon Stone join her in "Thor: Ragnarok?"

"Thor: Ragnarok" will premiere on October 25, 2017 while "Ant-Man and The Wasp" is scheduled for release on July 6, 2018.
