Couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani looked and sounded like a perfect fit during their performance of their first duet and single "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." The celebrities debuted their single on "The Voice" stage Monday.
US Weekly bared that before their performance, the two walked hand in hand before Blake Shelton prepared to start for the song performance. Gwen Stefani looked so in love with the long stares and their emotional delivery of each lyric of the song.
Donning a mermaid-style gown, Gwen Stefani walked to Blake Shelton and joined her for the duet. The country and rock combination sounded great for both singers with the Gwen Stefani looking Blake Shelton in the eyes while she sang "How did you get me so into you."
It was added in the same report that in a pre-recorded segment, Gwen Stefani was seen standing beside Blake Shelton during the rest of the performance. "They faced each other and didn't look at the audience at all during the performance. It was like they were trying to give the illusion that to them, they were the only ones in the room. It was so romantic," an observer shared.
After their performance on Monday, Blake Shelton told People how excited he was about the collaboration. The country singer said this single is something that he and Gwen Stefani feel so close to. "It's as brutally honest and straightforward as you can be in a love song," he added.
Blake Shelton added that it took them some time to decide on the song he wrote last fall. "We were at a point where it's like, 'Do we want to go there? What will people think?' And then we finally just got to the point where it's like, 'You know what? I don't give a s---," Blake Shelton explained adding that the song means a lot to them.
The couple started dating late last year. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were spotted several times together before they admitted that they were a couple. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton also both ended their marriages last year with Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively.
