What would happen if one of the biggest names in sportswear would team up with one of the biggest donut making companies? Nike teamed up with Krispy Kreme in selling their latest sneakers.
Nike teamed up with Krispy Kreme to market their sneakers in a unique way. Their Kyrie Irving sneakers are up for grabs, but on a limited offer. Dubbed as the Kyrie 2, the Krispy Kreme themed Nike sneakers are called "Ky-rispy Kreme."
The Krispy Kreme themed shoe does look enticing with its two-color design. Nike splashed a hint of Krispy Kreme's color with a green check. The Nike sneakers feature white, light green and bright red colors; all of which are Krispy Kreme's signature color palettes.
To make the collaboration more official, the "Ky-rispy Kreme" Nike sneakers comes with a special edition box which is design after Krispy Kreme's take out box. The "Ky-rispy Kreme" Nike sneakers will be sold for a limited offer. It will be displayed on Krispy Kreme's donut truck.
Customers and sneakers enthusiast can get a glimpse of the sneakers once the Krispy Kreme truck would park within their area. According to Fox 8, the truck would only visit some cities including Cleveland, Baltimore, Harlem and Brooklyn.
Nike's collaboration with the food industry is not something new. They also teamed up with Win City Shave Ice in the past. The shaved ice truck adorned with Nike sneakers also drove around various states wherein sneaker heads can purchase the limited edition sneakers.
Not only will the customers be able to cool themselves on a hot day with ice cones, but they'll get to see their favorite sneakers on display. According to Kicks on Fire, the shaved ice truck passed by Lincon Park, Seward Park and Foster Beach. Nike's gesture to collaborate with the food industry is becoming a hit as fans are supportive with the idea.
