Several fans have been patiently waiting for the release of the upcoming "Fast & Furious 8" movie. Now, new reports are claiming that the entire cast and the production of the "Furious 8" film is currently filming in Cuba.
'Fast & Furious 8' cast, crew now filming in Cuba
Some behind-the-scenes clips featuring Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez were unleashed thru a video recently uploaded online. Aside from the "Fast & Furious 8" main cast, the classic cars that will be used in some of the action scenes in the film were also shown in the video.
Getting a permit to shoot "Fast & Furious 8" in Cuba is no easy as the government does not allow filmmakers to shoot in the country. Fortunately, "Furious 8" was allowed and it is the first-ever global Hollywood film to be shot in Cuba, which also makes a huge historical event for both countries.
The "Fast & Furious 8" cast and crew were seen working on a drag race scene in the behind-the-scenes footage. With an energetic audience surrounding the scene, Director F. Gary Gray seemed to have enjoyed shooting one of the signature scenes of the "Fast & Furious" franchise.
Fans should expect a different 'Fast & Furious 8'
While no other details about the plotline have been revealed as of yet, fans should expect that the upcoming "Fast & Furious 8" movie will be a bit different from the previous installments. As a matter of fact, "Furious 8" director F. Gary Gray is reportedly so determined to make the film unique since he is filming action scene in places where one else has gone to.
Aside from the action scenes, fans should also expect a new flavor from the upcoming "Fast & Furious 8" movie as Cuba's culture was also featured. Instead of using sports cars, rumor has it that the "Furious 8" cast and crew used a Cuban vintage cars in the action scenes.
Meanwhile, the entire cast and crew of "Fast & Furious 8" are expected to move to other locations after filming some scenes in Cuba. Reports have it that the next destinations include Atlanta and New York City.
The much-awaited "Fast & Furious 8" film will hit theatres on April 14, 2017. The upcoming "Furious 8" movie is expected to break blockbuster records like the previous installments.
