Budweiser Will Change Label To ‘America’, Anheuser-Busch InBev Expects Boost Sales

Don't think that you're drunk when you see your bottle of Budweiser changed its name to America. Anheuser-Busch InBev, the Belgian company responsible for producing Budweiser, decided to transform the label of its beer to "America" to catch more attention and boost sales.

According to BBC News, Anheuser-Busch InBev is expecting Budweiser's change of name to America will help them to have an appeal to more American customers. The Belgian-Brazilian beverage and brewing corporation once revealed it is eyeing to boost its profit by investing in its marketing campaigns.

Beer's revenue usually increases in the middle of May to September and Anheuser-Busch InBev runs almost 25 percent of the beer market worldwide. Budweiser sells best in North America, making it its most money-making country.

"We are increasing our investments in sales and marketing programs," Anheuser-Busch InBev wrote in a report in 2015. "[To] build on each brand's distinct image and consumer positioning."

Cans and bottles of Budweiser will start to carry the "America" tag starting in summer replacing its old moniker, as per Chicago Tribune. However, the new name will only be effective for the meantime, honoring the upcoming election in November.

"Budweiser has always strived to embody America in a bottle," Budweiser Vice President Ricardo Marques told The Associated Press. He also added that the change of name will also serve as a tribute to the country where Budweiser has been developed for the last 140 years.

Ricardo Marques believes that the upcoming season will be the most interesting summer that will come to America. With the imminent Olympics and election, he said that it will be "the most American summer ever," as per Co.Design.

"We thought nothing was more iconic than Budweiser and nothing was more iconic than America," Tosh Hall, creative director from JKR, said. To recall, this is not the first time that Budweiser will change its name.

Anheuser-Busch InBev already featured a number of American icons in exchange of its renowned brand in the past. It appeared to carry Statue of Liberty's image as well as the American Flag in earlier advertisements.
