Toddler News: 2-Year-Old Toddler May Have Been Alone With Her Babysitters' Dead Body For Two Days

A toddler was left to care for herself when her babysitter died. The two-year-old took care of herself for several days when the man that took care of the toddler in his Michigan home passed away.

According to Wood8 TV, the Kent County police officials were alarmed after Ron Finker, the toddler's babysitter was not able to bring the toddler to her mother on Mother's Day. The 49-year-old babysitter was found unconscious in his home located in 1500 block of Peach Ridge Avenue NW in Tyrone Township. The authorities were alarmed after he failed to answer several phone calls from the toddler's mother.

Upon the arrival of the authorities, they found Ron's dead body. As they continued to roam, they found the two-year-old toddler, Haleigh Ann. The two-year-old was left with Ron's dead body for several days before she was rescued by the authorities.

According to the toddler's relatives, Ron was not related to the toddler at all. Ron was a close friend of the toddler's grandfather and has been taking care of the toddler ever since. The toddler's father was jailed for drug charges while her mother, Megan Wheelock was having daytime jobs.

Megan Wheelock was relieved upon finding out that Haleigh Ann was found and doing well. She did, however, express her grief as Ron played an integral part on her daughter's life. She even cited that Ron has been the backbone of their family as he takes time to tend her toddler while she's away.

WWMT then added that Megan Wheelock is thinking of leaving her daughter's guardianship to her aunt as she fixes her work schedule. An update that was released mentioned that Tammy VandeWetering was the last person Ron Finkler talked to. she then stated that he seem fine and healthy the last time they talked.
