Quite several fans were disappointed upon learning that the upcoming Apple Watch 2 will be arriving with the same design as the original Apple Watch. A lot of avid Apple followers have been speculating that the Apple Watch 2 will be an improved version of the very first Apple Watch.
However, it seems like the high expectations could now be dropped as the Apple Watch 2 is reportedly having the same deign. Despite this, Apple made it clear that the Apple Watch 2 will be having better specs and features than the old smartwatch from Apple.
As a matter of fact, Apple CEO Tim Cook has said in an interview that the company is giving its best as it is only new in the smartwatch industry. Also, he assured that Apple Watch 2 is getting better and better, even describing it as a must-buy device with a price starting from $299.
Apple Watch 2 to be launched with a much improved specs and features
Slated for a September 2016 launch, the Apple Watch 2 is said to allow users to connect the device to cellular networks. In other words, users of the incoming Apple Watch 2 can now send messages, make calls, get notifications and use Apple pay without the help of an iPhone.
"The smartwatch is now a category waiting for a market. Newer devices have offered more polished looks and subtly different functions, but no large changes in device capabilities or usage," James Moar wrote on his report. With smartwatch functions established, it is now up to consumers to decide if they want them, rather than technology companies providing more reasons."
Powered by watch OS 2.2., the imminent Apple Watch 2 will also have a feature that is very beneficial especially in times of emergency. It has been revealed by the U.S. Patent Trademark Office that Apple has filed a "Care Event Detection And Alerts" application.
"An occurrence of one or more "care events" is detected by an electronic device monitoring environmental data and/or user data from one or more sensors," the U.S. Patent Trademark Office website description read. "The electronic device transmits one or more alerts regarding the detected occurrence to at least one other electronic device."
