Transgender bathroom issue has been a hot topic in these days and celebrities, both in support and against this, are expected to voice their opinions. One of them is the "19 Kids and Counting" matriarch, Michelle Duggar. But news outlets are quick to notice that the reality star mother is surprisingly quiet about the issue she once vocally objected to. Speculations are that Michelle Duggar is avoiding a clash with a fellow TLC co-star.
Michelle Duggar Avoiding Further Conflict
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Michelle Duggar is keeping her opinions to herself about the directive that President Barack Obama released to schools. This is because she probably doesn't want to get in conflict with Jazz Jennings, a transgender teenager who stars in her own reality show with TLC, "I Am Jazz."
It can be remembered that the Duggar family lost their show last year following the sex and cheating scandals involving their firstborn Josh Duggar. "19 Kids and Counting" was cancelled, but their daughters Jill and Jessa was able to return to reality TV with their own show "Jill & Jessa: Counting On."
Mrs. Duggar might just want to appease her bosses at the network. It may have been different back in 2014, when Michelle Duggar recorded a robocall message to the people of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She expressed her opinions about a law that a politician was pushing to address the discrimination against transgender in terms of housing, employment and use of public facilities. Michelle Duggar even compared transgender women to child molesters.
I Am Jazz Season 2 Premiere
Meanwhile, "I Am Jazz" Season 2 is slated to premiere on July 15. Among other things, Jazz is expected to talk about the hatred she is experiencing and dealing with being a trans. "I want people to understand, the hate is real," the reality star said the "I Am Jazz" second season's promo video.
Obama's order, now being debated nationally, has enraged conservatives. They claim that it is a "presidential blackmail" as the issue will likely be carried over to the next president's leadership, reported Fox News.
