A new study found that parents' guidance can make a drastic change to their children's IQ level and personal being. Parenting care and program can improve their kids' behavior, health and can even make them smarter, the research said.
Monitoring Program For Expectant Moms
The Preparing for Life study was performed in Dublin to monitor pregnant women midway of their cycle until the time their child reach primary schooling. The expectant moms received frequent visits from the skilled mentors that taught them the stages of their babies' development.
The research noted that kids under the supervision have little behavioral problems, internalizing and anxiety attacks, according to BreakingNews.ie. It also found that the monitored kids have healthier diets which made them unlikely to have overweight issues.
Method Of The Program
The experts presented new subject matter for parents to further their learning about parenting their children. It included a mixture of role modeling, illustration, coaching, discussion, support and feedback.
The guardians, on the other hand, also have the right to impose their own parenting ways to their kids. When the child reached two years old, parents can start to contribute their ideas in the parenting program.
Effectiveness Of The Study
Dr. Orla Doyle of the Geary Institute and lead researcher of the study boasted that their program brought a change to the life course of a child under their research. "The results show that developing the skills and knowledge of parents is a particularly effective and impactful approach to changing and improving outcomes for children," she said.
Dr. Orla Doyle also explained that their findings were statistically and basically important for everyone to know. The result carried powerful results that can guide the parents to develop their child's well-being, Irish Times cited.
The study proved that giving guardians more knowledge and skills about the parenting ways have an effective result to their children. It can bring a positive impact in altering and enhancing outcomes for kids.
