Donald Trump Tells Megyn Kelly She Was Called 'A Lot Worse' Than A Bimbo

After a long-time spat with Fox News host Megyn Kelly, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump recently had a one-on-one interview with the TV personality. Trump ended up congratulating Kelly by the end of their interview.

USA Today said Trump acknowledged that he attacked the TV host through social media but noted that many of his fans also hated him for his tirades on Kelly. The presidential aspirant said he already expected that some of his followers would not like how he slammed the female host.

Worse than 'bimbo'

In the Fox News special, Trump also told Kelly that she would be surprised with the nasty tweets which he did not retweet. "Bimbo?" Kelly asked. The business mogul and politician then replied that it was a retweet but the host maintained that he repeated saying the term a lot of times.

"Oh, okay excuse me," Trump was quoted by the USA Today report as saying. "Not the most horrible thing ... Over your life Megyn, you've been called a lot worse. Isn't that right? Wouldn't you say?"

In addition, The Guardian said Trump had a softer demeanor during the entire interview and also did not discuss controversial issues on his campaign. He also explained that the much-publicized comments he made were part of the strategy to be the winner for the Republican field.

"If I were soft, if I were presidential ... in a way it's a bad word, because there's nothing wrong with being presidential," the presidential candidate said. He, however, said that he had to fight back the way he did to be successful and not fail.

The American businessman also claimed that he had strong responses to all the issues thrown at him. He explained that he responds merely to the things that people did to him.

After the interview, The Guardian said Trump and Kelly met for about an hour and settled their differences and long-time friction which started in August last year. The presidential candidate also congratulated Kelly via his Twitter account saying "they all lived happily ever after."
