"Bates Motel" Season 5 spoilers hint that fans and viewers will see Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) go full psycho. In a recent interview with series creator Carlton Cuse, it has been revealed that the show will continue to base its story on the 1960 movie "Psycho," but it will still have some unique spin to it, reports Carter Matt.

"We wanted the final season to allow us to do our version of the 'Psycho' lore," said Cuse. "We will be colliding with certain events in the narrative of the film, but it would be boring to just recreate 'Psycho.'"

Cinema Blend also notes that "Bates Motel" Season 5 will truly be one of the most unforgettable seasons for the show. Actress Marion Cane will reportedly be appearing in the upcoming episodes of the drama.

According to the publication, Cane will be appearing in multiple episodes of "Bates Motel" Season 5. Fans and viewers will also see Cane recreate the infamous shower scene from "Psycho."

"Bates Motel" may still see Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) despite her character's death from her own son's hands in the Season 4 finale. The publication notes that the show did well to still see Norma still alive in Norman's mind because of the great dynamic between Farmiga and Highmore.

"Bates Motel" Season 5 is also expected to premiere next spring 2016 on A&E.
