Daniel Craig, allegedly, ended all the speculations and finally told the "James Bond" bosses that he's "done" playing the "007" role. The husband of Rachel Weisz rejected a whopping £68million offer of MGM studio to do two more "James Bond" films after "Spectre."
"Daniel is done - pure and simple - he told top brass at MGM after 'Spectre,'" a source from L.A. film revealed, according to Daily Mail. "They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn't what he wanted."
In fact, Daniel Craig already told everyone after filming "Spectre" that that would be his final "James Bond" appearance. MGM still tried their best to encourage the actor by offering him a huge amount of money.
However, MGM executives eventually gave up and decided to let Daniel Craig go and leave the "James Bond" role. The bosses grew tired of his comments over "James Bond" and even said that he would rather "slash his wrist" than do another "007 film."
The new claim came after a bookmaker stopped its bet over Tom Hiddleston being the most likely to become the next "James Bond." To recall, Tom Hiddleston was seen meeting the "James Bond" director Sam Mendes and producer Barbara Broccoli in London over the past week.
A spectator first saw Barbara Broccoli together with Tom Hiddleston with another young man, Hamilton Spectator reported. Later, the two were joined by Sam Mendes around 11 p.m. and talked until about 1 a.m. The three personalities were evidently having fun as they were laughing all the time.
The bets for Tom Hiddleston started to rise after his meeting with Sam Mendes and Barbara Broccoli, Parent Herald cited. The encounter happened after the "Thor" star said that none from the "James Bond" movie was trying to reach him and talk about the role.
