The making of the DC Extended Universe flick "Suicide Squad" has been filled with several strange events, like Jared Leto staying in character as the Joker and not speaking to any of his costars. Cara Delevingne, who will play Enchantress in "Suicide Squad," has just revealed that director David Ayer had an unusual advice for her to get in character: get naked and muddy under a full moon.
Cara Delevingne's Skin-Baring Forest Stroll
Cara Delevingne recently spoke to W Magazine, where she revealed that "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer told her to do some nude soul-searching when she got the role as Enchantress. "David asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did," Delevingne shared.
The "Paper Towns" actress also admitted that the exercise wasn't exactly perfect, but it seemed like Cara Delevingne got in touch with her inner animal. "There wasn't a full moon, but I howled like a wolf," she confessed.
Getting Angry For The Enchantress Role
In addition to her naked romp in a forest, Cara Delevingne shared that she found some hidden anger during her "Suicide Squad" audition. She revealed that she read a scene from "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" for David Ayer. "Somehow, when we were doing the scene, I became livid," Delevingne stated. "I hadn't felt rage like that in years."
It may have been scary for Cara Delevingne, but the anger worked so well that she won the role of Enchantress in "Suicide Squad." The model/actress is set to appear in "Suicide Squad" alongside Margot Robbie, who will play Harley Quinn and Will Smith, who will portray Deadshot in the film. "Suicide Squad" will crash into theaters on August 5.
