'Half Life 3' To Arrive In 2018

Meanwhile, aside from the expected big reveal of "Half Life 3" at E3 2016, there are rumors that it will be coming up two years from now. Christian Times reported that "Half Life 3" would be released in 2018. According to the News Independent, the "Half Life" franchise will be celebrating its 20th anniversary by then, so releasing the title at that time will make it extra special.

If this is true, then "Half Life" fans have more than one reason to celebrate. They have been waiting for "Half Life 3" for long and getting the title at its two-decade anniversary will be memorable.

'Half Life 3' Will Include With A Full VR Support

On the other hand, Parent Herald previously reported that Valve would release "Half Life 3" with full VR support. There are unending rumors that the third "Half Life" will be a VR title.

Unfortunately, Valve remains mum about this report. In fact, they have been silent about "Half Life 3's" progress all this time until such time that the original "Half Life" designer Marc Laidlaw retired.

One fan emailed Laidlaw confronting him and Valve about "Half Life 3" and what took them so long to announce if the game is coming or not. Unfortunately, Laidlaw is no longer in the position to answer this, as he is no longer part of Valve.

"I appreciate all the interest and enthusiasm from 'Half Life' fans over the years; I love working on the games and engaging with the community, but I can no longer be considered a potential source of new information."
