Saskatoon Woman With Down Syndrome Meets Ultimate Idol Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez fulfilled the wish of one of her biggest fans in Saskatoon, Canada, on Thursday. The female Saskatoon native, who has Down Syndrome, was very happy meeting her ultimate idol.

The Star Phoenix said Angela Finney wanted to attend the pop singer's Revival Tour in their hometown but could not afford tickets to the event. Two of her mentors reportedly wrote to local radio station C95 to ask for help.

"As most young adult special needs people, sometimes things are a bit tight, and things like Selena Gomez tickets are an outright luxury," read the letter of her mentors to C95. "If there was a chance of a meet and greet, she would have a smile that will not go away."

The radio station did not only give her tickets to the show but also granted her the chance to see and talk to Gomez. A video of their meeting showed Angela screaming when she saw the "Hands to Myself" singer.

She gave Gomez a big hug and said that she missed her. "I missed you too," the singer replied as she asked Angela if she was ready to watch the concert.

C95 program director Shyla Williams said in a Global News report Finney's story touched and they really did everything to make her wish come true. She said that it was priceless to see Finney extremely happy with the surprise.

"Seeing Angelica's reaction when she received the news brought joy to all of our faces," Williams said. It's in moments like this, you can't help but smile knowing you made a big difference in someone's life."

The 23-year-old singer is going around the world for her tour. She also went to Winnipeg on Friday and will have concerts in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal in the coming days. She is touring to promote her second solo album entitled Revival.
