The season finale of "Married At First Sight" this week revealed one couple breaking up at the end of the experiment.
"Married at First Sight" is a social experiment involving couples who were willing to say "I do" at the altar with a stranger. Some fans liked following how their love stories unfold while there were those who find it really unusual to legally commit to someone they just saw for the first time.
Before the couples made their decisions, they had to spend time apart and contemplate about their feelings and whether they are going to stay or not (via The New Zealand Herald). Some used the time to talk to friends and family while others preferred to be alone.
Simone and Xavier Called It Off
Were you surprised? Per NZ Herald's recap, Simone started explaining her decision by pointing that she and Xavier have a lot of similarities. She also loved living with him. But then she went into narrating the things she's looking for a lifetime partner, a.k.a. romance, which apparently she hasn't seen from Xavier, and she doesn't think he can give it to her for now. On one hand, fans were not able to hear Xavier's decision, but the look on his face while Simone was dumping him on air says it all.
Other Couples Made It Through
Meanwhile, things turned out well for the rest of the couples. While Erin and Bryce had concerns about kids, and Mark and Christie about distance, the two couples decided to continue with their marriages, per Stuff.co.nz. Fast forward to two months later, they are still together.
