Will Dean And Sam Defeat The Darkness In 'Supernatural' Season 11 Finale

According to International Business Times, there was a shocking encounter between God and the Darkness, which the Winchester brothers witnessed. Amara was already on her knees begging God to kill her.

"It didn't have to be like this. I loved you brother. You have won again, just finish it, kill me," she said. Unfortunately, when she realized that her brother has no plans of killing her, she fought back and things turned awry.

Amara killed God and told Sam and Dean, "He is dying. My brother will dim, and fade away into nothing. But not until he sees what comes next, not until he watches this world, everything he created, every single thing he loved turn to ash." She even warned them, "Welcome to the end."

'Supernatural' Season 11 Finale Spoilers

Meanwhile, the promo episode for the "Supernatural" finale featured Sam and Dean telling the remaining members of team God, "We are collecting souls to build a bomb to blow the Darkness to hell." Rowena informed Dean that he will not carry the bomb because he will be the bomb. The short clip ends with Dean showing up at Amara's place, which seems to suggest that it will be their final encounter.

'Supernatural' Season 12 Will Come With Major Changes

According to Ecumenical News, "Supernatural" showrunner Jeremy Carver has resigned from his post. Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb, "Supernatural" collaborators will be filling in his position.

With Carver gone, there are rumors that the change in the "Supernatural" showrunner will impact the series. More likely, "Supernatural" season 12 will be different. The report suggests that "Supernatural" has been on the small screens for over a decade and coming up with new materials is surely challenging. Thus, it is just reasonable to have two showrunners for the next season.

'Supernatural' To Have A Spinoff

Meanwhile, there are rumors that "Supernatural" might have a spinoff. CW president Mark Pedowitz was asked if "Supernatural" will have a spinoff. He answered that at the time nothing was on the horizon, but teased that they are open to it. "We're open to listening," he told Variety.
