The hit Netflix original series "Narcos" is up for its second season and many fans are surely waiting for more details. Here's what Parent Herald has learned so far ahead of its August launch on the streaming service.
Pablo Escobar's Death Scene
"Narcos" is based on a true to life story of one of the world's biggest cocaine kingpin, Pablo Escobar. A quick Google search on the history would give you all the spoilers you may or may not want, but still many are hooked with how Netflix is able to tell the story.
A report from InterAksyon, spilled that the showrunner of the series has revealed that they had filmed the death scene of Pablo Escobar. The details were as close as they can be to what actually transpired in 1993 when Escobar was shot dead in his hometown. Executive producer Eric Newman told AFP that DEA agent Steve Murphy took some incredible photos when Pablo died. Also, there was a photographer who was with the drug lord at that time. Newman said, "We've recreated the actual death scenario based on those pictures so it's as close as we can be."
The Possibility Of Season 3
According to the report, the finale of "Narcos" Season 2, which is expected to be released in August, will feature Pablo Escobar's death. Given this, fans wonder if this is already the end of the series. In an earlier report from Slash Film, News said that "Narcos" can continue even with Pablo being dead because drugs didn't end when he died. There's no confirmation to that yet, but it would be interesting to see what other stories the series would explore.
"Narcos" is a biographical drama starring Wagner Moura as the King of Cocaine Pablo Escobar. Season 2 is scheduled to be live in August, although no specific date has been announced yet. Meanwhile, Parent Herald recently learned that Netflix has entered a deal with Univision that would bring "Narcos" Season 1 on traditional television.
