‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: Can This Prospective Love Team Beat Brienne-Tormund Romance?

While it was just a fun bit sub-storyline in the fourth episode of "Game of Thrones," fans were quick to pick up the team-up between Brienne of Tarth and Tormund Giantsbane. But there is one ship that could be coming over. Can it beat the Brienne-Tormund romance?

"Game of Thrones" could explore another lesbian love story. Sophie Turner, who plays Lady Sansa Stark in the HBO series, said that her character is "gonna have to swing the other way, 'cause the men thing isn't working for her." This was her response when Entertainment Weekly asked her in an interview about Sansa's ideal romance.

Sansa-Margaery Affair?

Sophie Turner suggests that Sansa Stark could be paired with Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer), with whom she had a good relationship back in the King's Landing. They both have disastrous team-ups with men in "Game of Thrones," anyway. Sansa suffered from Joffrey who killed her father Ned Stark in front of her. She was then married to the imp, Tyrion Lannister. And then she was married to Ramsey Bolton who abused her. Margaery Tyrell, on her part, can't seem to find a long-time husband too. She started with Renly Baratheon, then Joffrey Baratheon and then the young king Tommen Baratheon, the publication noted.

Sansa-Arya Love Scene?

Sophie has another wild idea - a love scene between Sansa and her younger sister Arya. "Or [Sansa could hook up with] Arya - because I'd like to see that happen. I'd love a love scene between Arya and Sansa," she told EW laughing.

Going back to the other GoT ship, the romance between Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) is a real thing, the episode's director Dan Sackheim confirmed. Sackheim said it was a fun addition to the story, but he was surprised and pleased how fans picked it up, TIME reported.
