In another interesting move for its customers, Netflix has announced that it will exclusively stream content for Disney and Pixar movies starting this fall. It also noted that it will also partner with Lucasfilm and Marvel.
According to The Next Web, this development came three years after Netflix signed an agreement with Disney to take its movies and shows to its streaming platform. The shows of Disney are expected to be available on Netflix during the same time which they will air on pay-television.
It was added in the same report that this partnership will not allow Netflix's rivals like Amazon Prime, HBO and Hulu to show Disney titles on their platforms. This means that Disney fans would surely go to Netflix to watch their favorite shows.
On its official website, Netflix said it is excited to offer viewers films from Pixar, Marvel and even Lucasfilm. It added that some of the original movies they will offer in September will include "Mascots" and "War Machine" which stars Brad Pitt in a military-themed movie.
TechCrunch said that Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos has also promised its customers new films and even classic movies this coming summer. Some of the expected movies for the streaming service are The Wedding Planner, The Big Short, Hotel Transylvania 2, Goosebumps and Back to the Future, among others.
However, E! News said that some '90s Disney movies will be removed from Netfliz starting next month including all-time favorites Mulan, Hercules and Hunchback of Notre Dame. There will still be remaining Disney movies for Netflix users like Tarzan, Lilo & Stitch and Robin Hood.
Despite some movies being taken out of Netflix, the same report said that there will also be good additions in the coming months. Nicholas Sparks' "A Walk To Remember" will be available on Netflix this June.
