The friends of former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel are worried that his behavior and the things he has recently been involved in could lead to his death. The accounts of these people close to the athlete indicate that he does not anymore listen to their advice.
According to TMZ, some buddies of the quarterback are concerned about his extreme partying, drinking and even drug use. He has reportedly not sought help and continuing this behavior could lead to his early demise.
"He's in a horrible downward spiral," a person close to Manziel spoke to TMZ. He added that there were already instances when his friends would confront him with the issue but he do not seem to listen to them.
The 23-year-old football player has reportedly been considered as a "persona non grata" in some bars because of his violent actions. Another TMZ source tagged him as a mess and a risk though Manziel was described as a "good guy."
Daily Mail said Manziel's father, Paul, has earlier warned that if his son continues with this kind of lifestyle, he may not reach his 24th birthday this December. He explained that they attempted twice to send him to a rehab facility but when Manziel managed to get in, he immediately left.
When he was still with the Browns, Manziel completed three months in rehab and was believed to have also submitted himself to counseling. But clearly, his stay at the said facility did not help him with his struggles.
It was added in the same report that Manziel was dropped by his former team after two seasons and has also lost millions of sponsorship deals. No agent also wants to work with him and deal with his vices.
TMZ added that Manziel continues to ruin his life and career with his nonstop partying in various clubs in Dallas, Miami and Las Vegas. Last April, he was indicted for a misdemeanor assault charge after his ex-flame, Colleen Crowley, claimed that Manziel struck and threatened her.
