After Beyonce launched her controversial album, "Lemonade," many wondered what will be the reaction of Jay Z. And on Tuesday, the "Empire State of Mind" rapper released a collaborated song titled "All The Way Up" that revealed his answers to his wife's claims.
"You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions," Jay Z rapped. "Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is."
According to E! News, there is also the line that Jay Z used to describe their marriage and called it "survival of the littlest." However, the lyrics he employed to describe "Lemonade" was from "Gang Starr's classic, "DWYCK."
Jay Z's "All The Way Up" also featured Fat Joe, Infrared, Rema Ma and French Montana. The song hit the internet after it was released in Yankee Stadium.
This is the first time that Jay Z publicly speak about Beyonce's "Lemonade" that revealed their marital status. After the father-of-one tackled the issues with the "Halo" hitmaker, he also mentioned Tupac, her daughter Blue Ivy and his 21 Grammy Awards.
CBS News reported even if Jay Z looks satisfied with people's acceptance of Beyonce's "Lemonade," there is some still finding for a hidden message that reveals more of him. The owner of Tidal, too, gave tribute to the late Prince by mentioning his name and the line from his song "Let's Go Crazy" in "All The Way Up."
"We never gonna let the elevator take him down," Jay Z sang. However, some deem this line is concerning the 2015 elevator fighting scene with Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles, after the Met Gala.
Meanwhile, out of all the negativity, Bustle added that there's a hint of positivity in Jay Z's reaction to Beyonce's "Lemonade." He might be concise and to the point, but he simply told everyone that his marriage managed to endure everything that they went through.
