It is a very depressing week for Johnny Depp. After the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star's mother passed away recently, his wife Amber Heard files for divorce on Monday.
Amber Heard asked a divorce from Johnny Depp alluding to incompatible differences and requesting for spousal support, according to Entertainment Tonight. This comes after the death of the "Black Mass" actor's mom, Betty Sue Palmer, on May 20 after a long battle from illness, as per The Guardian.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been plagued by divorce rumors for quite awhile now, but the couple continuously denies. "I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives, but it is strange, and hard," the "Magic Mike XXL" actress told Marie Claire in December, as published by USA Today.
Johhny Depp, on the other hand, even gives his gratitude to Amber Heard at the annual Palm Springs Film Festival gala in January when he received his achievement award. "I also have to thank my wife Amber for putting up with me, for living with all these characters, which can't be easy," he explained.
Johnny Depp expounded that if he finds it hard to take on his different roles, it might be harder for Amber Heard. However, the pair has been rarely spotted together recently.
Even though Johnny Depp is with Amber Heard's side in court during her dog smuggling case in Australia, the latter attended the Met Gala alone on May 2. Alternatively, the father of Lily Depp strutted the red carpet premiere of "Alice Through The Looking Glass" on Monday without the 30-year-old model.
