The "Avengers: Infinity War" movies will finally pit the Marvel superheroes against Thanos, who is plotting to destroy the entire universe. However, it looks like the Mad Titan will be facing more than just the Avengers in the "Infinity War" films. According to "Avengers: Infinity War" screenwriter Christopher Markus, Thanos' family members from "Guardians of the Galaxy" will crossover to the two-part flick. So does this mean Zoe Saldana's Gamora and Karen Gillan's Nebula will continue their sisterly brawl in "Avengers: Infinity War?"
It's All In The "Guardians Of The Galaxy" Family
Christopher Markus recently spoke to Nerdist, where the screenwriter basically confirmed that the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear in "Avengers: Infinity War." Christopher Markus even declared that the crossover is inevitable (via io9). "Let me put it this way: You know who owns that gauntlet, right? And you know who's in another movie, whose kids are in that movie," Markus told Nerdist. "You do the math!"
Christopher Markus' statement is a direct reference to Thanos' daughters Gamora and Nebula, who last had an epic fight on the Dark Aster in "Guardians of the Galaxy." But what will Gamor and Nebula be doing in "Avengers: Infinity War?"
Will Gamora And Nebula Team Up To Beat Thanos?
Thanos' daughters have both betrayed the Mad Titan, with Gamora teaming up with Star-Lord and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy while Nebula decided to stand by Ronan the Accuser. With Ronan dead and the possibility of facing Thanos' wrath being imminent, will Nebula decide to work with her sister and the Guardians of the Galaxy in "Avengers: Infinity War?" The two characters will once again appear in the sequel "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" so fans will need to wait and see if Gamora and Nebula can put aside their differences to save the universe.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is scheduled for release on May 5, 2017. "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1" will hit theaters on May 4, 2018 while "Part 2" will premiere on May 3, 2019.
