Rob Schneider is a proud new dad. The 49-year-old comedian and his wife, television producer, Patricia Azarcoya Arce, welcomed their first child, a baby girl on Nov.16.
Baby Miranda weighed 5 pounds and 13 ounces at birth, People magazine reported.
The excited father confirmed the news on Twitter.
"Miranda Schneider!!! Born 8:59 pm! Mommy and Baby happy and healthy! Gracias por sus buenos deseos!" he wrote, while sharing the happy news with his 100,840 followers.
The new arrival has invited comments and congratulatory messages from different parts of the country.
"@RobSchneider The baby will be a great comedian as their parents congratulations from mexico," one of the comments said, while another wrote "@RobSchneider congrats Rob to the addition to your family. U get to fall in love all over again!!!!!!"
The baby was born after 19 hours of labor.
"Baby is COMING NOW! 19th hour of labor! Wife is doing great! WOW!!!" he wrote, shortly after his little daughter's birth. "Thank 2 all of you for your good thoughts and well wishes! But I wish this hospital had a bar in it! Where's the medical marijuana for dad?"
Schneider, who started his stand-up comedy career as a high school student, married Arce in Beverly Hills in 2011.
"Patricia and I were surrounded by our closest friends and family; it was the happiest day of my life," Schneider told People magazine at the time of his marriage. "We had a great time at the wedding and are looking forward to our honeymoon."
Schneider has a 23-year-old daughter, Elle, with London King.
