There have been endless talks about Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" and fans taste a bit of Elena when the actress did a recording for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 finale. According to recent reports, Dobrev is officially backed in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 but Ian Somerhalder's wife doesn't like the thought of Ian and Nina's reunion.
Nina Dobrev Returns In 'The Vampire' Diaries Season 8
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 showrunner Julie Plec is determined to bring Nina Dobrev back in the series. In fact, she was successful in featuring Nina's voice in "TVD" Season 7 finale.
According to Plec if the series will go longer, bringing Elena back earlier will be fun. However, Ian Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend has been clear about what she wanted and that is to pursue her craft outside "TVD." So, Plec will just settle on having her for the finale season. "So I'm sticking with my side of the plan, which is to bring her back at the very end," Pled told TV Line.
However, it seems that "The Vampire Diaries" is heading to its end because according to reports, Nina Dobrev is confirmed to join in the upcoming season. "When the show ends Nina will be a part of it some way shape or form," one source told the Hollywood Life. "She is 10,000 percent coming back."
Ian Somerhalder's Wife Nikki Reed Threatened With Nina Dobrev's Return In 'TVD'
If fans want to see Elena and Damon reunite in "The Vampire Diaries," Ian Somerhalder's wife, Nikki Reed hates it because it would mean a reunion for Nina and Ian. The "TVD" stars were an item for years until they decided to break up.
Per Yibada, Nikki Reed is threatened about Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. However, she can't do anything about it because Plec is determined to bring Nina back. In fact, the "TVD" showrunner has already planned how to reunite the "The Vampire Diaries" sweethearts, Elena and Damon.
"The show did so much for Ian and Nina's careers and put them on the map. For Julie Plec and the other writers and creators, they feel like they owe it to them to suck it up and send the show off any way they want to send it off," one source said. "At the end of the day, they are professionals, and that would win out over any drama," a source told the publication."
Do you agree that Nikki Reed should not be threatened because the two stars owe it to their fans and they are professionals? Are you excited to see the reunion of Elena and Damon? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is expected to return on the CW sometime this year.
