Dwayne Johnson gives his fans a glimpse of his character in the movie "Fast and the Furious 8" on his Instagram page on Saturday. Also known as The Rock, he introduces his role as DSS Agent Luke Hobbs accompanied with a lengthy message.
"When you strip a man of all he has. All that's important to him. You force him to return to his roots.. and sometimes that's a very dangerous and twisted place," Dwayne Johnson captions the snap. If I was going to return for another FAST & FURIOUS I wanted to come in and disrupt the franchise in a cool way that got fans fired up and their blood pumping to see a new version of Hobbs."
According to NDTV Movies, the black-and-white image reveals a rough looking Dwayne Johnson with quite a long goatee and wearing a leather vest. The "Scorpion King" star's muscle is in full display while standing in a field-like setting.
Dwayne Johnson puzzles his Instagram followers by adding that maybe the photo is taken after he rides a motorcycle and trying to escape or it might be a spinoff film. However, he then shares that he had a fun week shooting and it feels good to be back in Ohana, to his home studio Universal, to work with director F. Gary Gray and his Seven Bucks Productions.
Dwayne Johnson is also grateful for his supporters and how will likely to love the new adaptation of his character as DSS Agent Luke Hobbs in "Fast and the Furious 8." "Cause as we always say, disrupters dent the universe," he ends the long note.
It has been known Dwayne Johnson first joins "Fast and the Furious" franchise in 2011 with "Fast Five," DNA India reported. The former WWE wrestler then appears in "Fast & Furious 6" in 2013 and "Fast and the Furious 7" in 2015.
"Fast and the Furious 8" is now filming in Cuba with Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathaniel Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Eva Mendes and much more. "Fast and the Furious 8" is set to be released on April 14, 2017.
