Many were surprised to see Emilia Clarke, once again, got naked in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode "Book of the Stranger." But, the British actress better known as Daenerys Targaryen revealed she did the nude scene for its empowering sight.
"It was just a wonderful, strong moment I wanted to own, a real empowering, girl-power wow scene," Emilia Clarke said, according to The Sun. "I was so thrilled with it. It's not a sexy scene, she's not naked for no reason, it's not gratuitous."
Emilia Clarke explained that her character didn't strip only to bare skin, but because she had to prove what she can do to her enemies. The "Me Before You" added how can she refuse the powerful scene after her character got discriminated by other guys of the Dothraki.
Emilia Clarke also cleared that she didn't use a body double and reminisced that the last time she went naked for "Game of Thrones" was in Season 3. She added that it was quite a long time ago as they were now playing Season 6, Daily Mail reported.
Emilia Clarke was also proud that she did it on her own and made everyone see how strong her role is. The "Terminator Genesys" actress literally burned the house down when she walked out through the flame and showed she is indeed the queen.
Emilia Clarke, too, made clear that she was rarely seen going naked in "Game of Thrones." In fact, it was reported before the 29-year-old star signed a clause that she will no longer appear nude in "Game of Thrones."
However, Emilia Clarke persisted that she made a right decision, but needed a help of vodka and good lightning to strip her clothes. She admitted that she sought a couple of drinks and technical help so she can perfectly do the naked scene.
