"Teen Wolf" Season 6 air date is not delayed despite Dylan O'Brien's recent accident while he was filming on the set of his upcoming film, "Maze Runner: The Death Cure." In an interview with Teen Wolf News, executive producer Jeff Davis explained that production is not delayed in any way at all.
"Production always planned to work around Dylan's schedule and has made allowances for delays or unexpected changes," he said.
This refutes earlier reports, which claim that "Teen Wolf" Season 6 release may be pushed to a later date. Davis added that production for the upcoming season of the MTV drama is "right on schedule with the shoot."
It is believed that O'Brien's character as Stiles would play a vital role in "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Many fans are expecting to see his big moment with Lydia (Holland Roden) aka "Stydia."
Mirror reports on the possible absence of O'Brien in "Teen Wolf" Season 6. A statement released by the 24-year-old actor's publicist Jennifer Allen revealed that O'Brien sustained serious injuries than what was once believed by fans.
According to the statement, O'Brien would need "more time to recover" from his injuries. The said accident took place on March 17 in Canada while the actor was filming a scene for the upcoming installment of "The Maze Runner" movie franchise.
While the release date of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 is not delayed in any way, production for "The Death Cure" is confirmed to be "further delayed" in lieu of O'Brien's accident. Production is expected to resume the moment O'Brien has fully recovered.
