Are You OK with Other Parents Disciplining Your Kid?

A mom's open letter about a stranger disciplining her kid in the playground has gone viral.

It was being discussed on a Fox News segment, Fox and Friends two days ago. The letter was posted by Karen Alpert on her blog, titled, "Dear stranger who disciplined my kiddo at the playground today."

Blogger Karen admitted that she was not on the scene when her son was disciplined by a lady whose daughter was trying to get through to the monkey bars. Due to the fact that the little is new to the monkey bars, the little boy will go past her and sometimes would bump her a little bit. This is where the lady told her son to knock it off.

Towards the end of her blog, she thanked the stranger who tried to discipline her son. Not that she was allowed to hit or yell at him but that as an adult, the stranger should know better to tell her kid to wait for his turn, or not say bad words.

During the Segment on Fox News, the question was once again raised. This, however, is a provocative question as every parent had different opinions about this deed especially if it involves their child being disciplined.

Fox40.com had a similar article regarding this issue a few months ago and it mentioned that admittedly, some parents get sensitive if they find out that their kid is being disciplined by others. There are those who also mentioned that they are ok with it as sometimes it is necessary. Another mother said as long as they do not spank them they are fine with it.

However, what if your child the one being bullied. Of course, no parent would want that to happen to her child so she must make a choice of whether to have the other kid's parent step in or do it herself since it hurts to see your child being helpless and bullied.
