"Grimm" is currently on hiatus. However, fans are eager for its return. Unfortunately, despite being renewed for season 6, there are rumors that the TV series will not be running for long. According to reports, "Grimm" Season 6 is cut short and might be the last in the franchise.
'Grimm' Season 6 Cut Short And The Last In The Series
"Grimm" fans were delighted that their favorite show was renewed for another season. However, "Grimm" Season 6 is only expected to deliver 13 episodes, which is fewer than its usual run. There are rumors that this will be the last season for "Grimm" and lead star David Giuntoli feels the same.
"I would imagine this will be our last season," Giuntoli told TV Insider. "In network TV, six seasons seems to be what hit shows generally run."
However, the "Grimm" star added that "Grimm" Season 6 might end with 15 or 18 episodes, instead of the initial 13 episodes. Also, they might be doing two more shortened seasons but whether they pursue it or not, the series is heading to its end.
Nick And Renard Will Team Up Again In "Grimm" Season 6
In the "Grimm" Season 5 finale, Renard saved Nick, at least it was how it seemed to be. But he didn't do it on his own accord. His daughter used her supernatural power to enchant a doll and control her unwitting dad.
Per the report, "Grimm" Season 6 will pick up where it left off in the last season. So, we will likely see Renard and Nick standing over the baddie's body.
"There's only so many ways this can go with the captain and Nick," Giuntoli told TVLine. "Either we get into a huge melee, or the captain tries to somehow recruit me to his side. I don't see how else it could go. I'm not going to say, 'Let's deal with this later.'"
What do you think, will Renard and Nick become allies again? What do you expect from the two characters in "Grimm" Season 6?
"Grimm" Season 6 is expected to premiere before the year ends.
