Stephen Amell DCEU: Why Has Oliver Queen/Green Arrow Been Left Out Of 'Justice League' Movies?

Fans are still seething over DC's decision to keep the TV universe a completely separate thing from the DC Extended Universe, especially after "Arrow" star Willa Holland spoke about Barry Allen's recasting for "The Flash" solo film. Now "Arrow" actor Stephen Amell has confirmed that Oliver Queen will not crossover to the DC movies. But what had made Warner Bros. and DCEU to leave Green Arrow out of the "Justice League" movies?

Stephen Amell Will Not Appear As Green Arrow In DCEU

The "Arrow" star was recently a guest on "Larry King Live," where he revealed that he had spoken to DCEU about Oliver Queen's possible crossover into film (via Comic Book Movie). Unfortunately, Stephen Amell didn't get the response he was looking for.

"I've spoken with people within DC and they've said there's no plan to bring the Green Arrow character to the cinematic universe," Stephen Amell told Larry King. However, the "Arrow" star remains hopeful that Oliver Queen might eventually make his big screen debut in the future. "Things change," he said.

Why Has DCEU Decided To Leave Stephen Amell's Green Arrow Out Of "Justice League?"

Green Arrow is undoubtedly one of the more popular members of the Justice League and Stephen Amell's CW show has already proven that fans love Oliver Queen. But why isn't DCEU allowing the character to crossover to the movies, most specifically the two-part "Justice League" films?

Some believe that DC is already satisfied with the success of "Arrow" and its other spinoff shows and wants to focus on other comic book characters. However, the argument doesn't explain why Barry Allen has been recast with Ezra Miller instead of current "The Flash" actor Grant Gustin. It is certainly becoming clear that DC wants to keep Arrow-verse separate from DCEU.

Do you think Stephen Amell's Green Arrow should appear in the DC films? Let us know in the comments.
