HBO's "Game of Thrones" is one of the most successful and popular TV series today. Fans have been clamoring for its return before season 6 premiere. Now that "GoT" is back, the series is heading to its end and according to reports, there are only a few episodes after "Game of Thrones" Season 6.
Emilia Clarke Speaks The Pressure In 'Game of Thrones'
Emilia Clarke has spoken about her role in the popular TV series. According to the actress, she does her best to portray every character that she gives life from the books.
"I've made the naive choices to take on roles that are beloved in books, that's literally everything I've done," Clarke told TIME. "For better or worse, I've worked really hard on all of them and tried very hard to make sure all the fans were happy and that I was on the right track."
Although Clarke earned two Emmy nominations for her performance in "Game of Thrones," fans of the books still believe that her portrayal for Daenerys Targaryen isn't good enough. The actress admitted that there is pressure in her role and she feels like she's walking on fire.
"It's like I'm voluntarily walking into the fire every time," Emilia Clarke said. "I'm like, 'hello I'm sorry I'm currently having a good time, I would quite like to be in pain.' With Game of Thrones there's always that pressure. And the bigger it gets, the bigger the pressure. I'm like, don't let this be the season where she f-s it up because I really could."
'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Will Only Have 7 Episodes
Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" director Jack Bender disclosed that the hit series will not be staying longer in the small screens after the current season. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will only air fewer episodes
Jack Bender's "The Door" is one of the finest episodes in "Game of Thrones" Season 6. When asked if he will return in season 7, he disclosed that he is not sure as the production is only doing a few episodes.
"I don't know the answer to that," Bender told Vanity Fair. "They're only doing seven [episodes], and they've got their regulars who have done it forever."
