This Mommy Blogger Admits Fakery In Her Postings; Spotlight Ruins Family Life?

Stay-at-home moms often become bloggers for several reasons. For one, they wanted to add income to their household while others just want to have some outlet to connect to the outside world because parenting is no easy feat and you need support of some sort. Sadly, things don't always turn good for many mommy bloggers.

Pretentious Postings

While many mommy bloggers fail to even make a single penny from their websites, there are those who experience much success and receive hundreds of dollars from advertisers and PR firms. Were they all happy? Sometimes it can ruin their personal lives and family, like what Josi Denise claimed happened to her.

She wrote a quit post "Dear Mommy Blogger" and didn't hold back telling mommy bloggers that their blogs suck and what mommy blogging really is all about, in a negative, discouraging way. She then appeared on "Good Morning America" and shared why she decided to leave the spotlight, Mediaite reported. According to Denise, she got fed up of the falsity of the posts she had to make, that her children had to smile even if they're not happy at all, just to promote brands online. Now, the irony is that after her enraged post, she's doing more interviews and being featured in major media outlets.

Why Mom Bloggers Fail

Mothers have different motivations on why they blog, so if yours is different than Denise's, don't be discouraged by her hatred. The Huffington Post listed nine reasons why new mom bloggers fail. Understanding these roadblocks would help you know what to avoid and what to do to overcome the challenges. The reasons include the lack of work schedule, lack of growth plan, absence of specific goals, and unclear definition of your "why."
