Three Suspects Arrested Over Beating Death Of 19-year-old Teenager In Buffalo

A 19-year-old teenager named Cheyenne Clough died from her injuries from a beating she received from three suspects. Officials have arrested the people the said suspects.

CBS Minnesota reported that the assault took place earlier last week at Crow Springs County Park in Buffalo, Minessota. Clough died on Saturday after suffering from significant injuries. Sheriff Joe Hagerty said in a statement that the teenager was hospitalized since Wednesday.

A child, who was heading to school that time, found Clough wounded near the entrance of the aforementioned park. She was then taken to North Medical Center in Robbinsdale. She is the mother of a three-year-old son, who has been identified as Elijah.

The cause of death of Clough is yet to be determined by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. It was unclear how Clough was related to the perpetrators.

The first two suspects were identified as 28-year-old Justin Jensen and 33-year-old Natasha Brandenburger. They are both from Maple Lake and they were found on Sunday in Koochiching County along the Canadian border. The third suspect, identified as 26-year-old Edward Zelko of Buffalo, was arrested during a traffic stop.

A makeshift memorial was placed near the spot where the teen was found unconscious. A friend of Clough, who went only by the name Bre, said in a statement that the mother-of-one was a wonderful person. She added, "If I was having a tough time, she would take a drive with me and it would always make things better."

Authorities are still looking for a vehicle that is said to be the one used by Jensen and Brandenburger. It is said to be a 2008 white Honda Accord with the Iowa license plate of AXK-248. It is unclear why the vehicle is being searched by officials.

People who have information about the incident are urged to call the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-1162. The investigation is still ongoing.
