Iris Halmshaw, a 6-year-old-girl with autism who's famous for her paintings, has formed an extra ordinary bond with her best friend, Thula, the cat. They do nearly everything together and Thula has made managing Iris' condition a lot better.
Before the cat came, Iris used to struggle around her environment. She dreaded taking baths as the texture of the water triggers her anxiety. But with Thula around, Iris became a calmer child. They try new things together and Thula patiently watches as Iris paint. It's the activity she loves doing best. Famous people have even bought her paintings.
