"The Young and Restless" is in for a rough ride their executive producer was fired. It was recently confirmed that Jill Farren Phelps will no longer move forward with the well-loved series.

The news first broke out on the Day Time Confidential website, as they mentioned that a veteran soap opera producer will soon be fired. It steered the fans interest as they used a blind item in having the news delivered.

It was not specifically pointed out as to who they were referring to, but they then released a follow up report confirming Jill Farren Phelps' force exit on "The Young and Restless." What they released however was not yet confirmed by Jill herself, but it did come from multiple insiders.

After releasing their headlines, it gathered countless feedback as several "The Young and Restless" fans were pleased with the news that Jill Farren Phelps' was finally fired from the series. Before being fired from "The Young and Restless," Phelps is also involved with the "General Hospital," "General Hospital night Shift," and "One Life to Live."

It was also noted that Jill Farren Phelps should be booted, but she will be given a chance to decide that straying away from "The Young and Restless" was her decision. But things escalated as reports emerged that she is already fired.

"On behalf of everyone at the show, we extend our sincere thanks to Jill for her years at Y&R and wish her continued success," an official statement from Steve Kent, senior executive vice president, U.S. programming for Sony Pictures Television acquired by TV Line read.

According to the updates, Chuck Pratt will take on Phelps role. Though it was not yet confirmed, Chuck is being considered as he's been working with the show since 2015, thus he is the most suitable replacement for Jill Farren Phelps.
