Kate Middleton has always been hot in the eyes of the spectators and her absences in some of her royal duties make critics tag her as a lazy one. Are her lazy ways rubbing off her husband, Prince William?
Prince Philip, the Duke's grandfather who just turned 95, was supposed to attend a military engagement on May 31 in Orkney, Scotland for the Battle of Jutland centennial celebration. However, the Duke of Edinburgh was not able to attend the commemorations following his doctor's advice. The palace notified the organizers the day before the event that Queen Elizabeth II's husband won't make it. Their daughter, Princess Anne, filled in for Prince Philip instead. That made many wonder where the future king is, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.
Apparently, Prince William was off-duty as a royal that day and his schedule was "private." He was with the Duchess of Cambridge and their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, attending a horse trial event. That's why he couldn't go up north and wear his uniforms to pay respect to U.K. veterans on behalf of his grandfather, CDL noted.
In other news, Prince Philip celebrated his 95th birthday on Friday, June 10. The royal consort has always been the strength of Queen Elizabeth II and the British monarch (via E! News). The two have been married for 68 years and have been through a lot, no doubt. Until now, the Duke of Edinburgh always accompanies his queen wife, whenever possible with his health, in her royal engagements.
