Cleveland Cavaliers Fan Loses Job After Controversial Tweet to Steph Curry's Sister

It is fair to say that the 2016 NBA Finals has most people divided, as there are those who support the Cleveland Cavaliers while there are those who support the Golden State Warriors. However, some people take this rivalry a lot more seriously than others.

Stephen Curry and his family have a relatively large presence on social media. A Cavs fan decided to throw jabs at Curry's sister and the rest of the star point guard's family including his baby daughter Riley. The controversial tweet has since been taken down, but multiple news outlets have a copy of it.

According to Fox Sports, a Cavs fan who goes by the Twitter handle @SoftCaramelKiss quoted a tweet by Sydel Curry and responded to it saying "You and your whole family get the [expletive] out of Cleveland and take Riley's [expletive] with you." The tweet quickly drew the ire of numerous people who in turn tweeted the Cavs' fan's employer, the Holton Wise Property Group.

Moe Wahdan or @SoftCaramelKiss was promptly and almost immediately fired from his position from the Ohio-based real estate company. The firing occurred the morning of the day after the controversial tweets were posted to Wahdan's account.

Tweets from the official Holton Wise Property Group account show them trying their best to apologize for their now-former employee's actions. Holton Wise owner James wise even released an official statement an apologized to the entire Curry family via a letter posted on Twitter.

Wahdan has since tweeted reacting to him being fired saying, "Why is everyone dogging Steph Curry on Twitter, but when I do it I get fired?" The tweet was delivered in a sarcastic tone coupled with a handful of emojis, which led Mashable to call Wahdan "a rebel without a clue" who is now "seemingly riding off into the sunset."
