Apple Set to Make Announcements About Artificial Intelligence at WWDC 2016

There is no question that Apple is one of the most powerful companies out there today, as evidenced by them hosting their own conference to showcase what they have in store for consumers. According to various reports, Apple is planning to go toe to toe with other technology giants such as Facebook and Google in the race to achieve artificial intelligence.

The biggest piece of news surrounding this year's WWDC is Apple's plans for artificial intelligence, says The Independent. It would be interesting to see how they would tackle this field as competitors Google and Facebook have already had a head start with "Google Now" and "Messenger Bots" respectively.

Forbes reports that Apple will showcase the iOS 10 during this year's iteration of the annual World Wide Developer's Conference. This new operating system is set to power Apple's iPhone and iPad line of products. This latest OS is said to come with an improved Siri, which is said to now work with a wider range of applications. Not much has been revealed, but it is said that Apple will reveal its plans for this during the event.

In just a short time after the release of their brand new MacBooks, reports suggest that Apple is set to release yet another new line of laptops. Reports state that Apple will not only announce a software update for existing models, but also a newer, slimmer MacBook Air and a more powerful MacBook Pro.

Another piece of Apple technology getting a facelift is the company's answer to Tidal and Spotify, Apple Music. The messaging platform iMessage will reportedly be updated as well to work between iPhones and iPads effectively rivaling applications such as Viber and WhatsApp. WatchOS and TVOS will also be announced at the event according to a report from Forbes, along with a revamp of the App Store.
