When things start falling apart, letting them go on for so long could make the repair hard to do. Meri and Janelle of the "Sister Wives" have been having a friction in their relationship. Their efforts to fix things between them have been futile so far. Can they finally make it work? Meanwhile, Kody is still apprehensive about Meri after the catfishing scandal.
Meri And Janelle Clashed During Therapy
Sitting down with their therapist, Meri and Janelle talked about the tension between them and how they try to patch things up. As US Weekly noted, their relationship started to get fractured way back when Janelle broke up with Meri's brother to become Kody's new wife. "Meri and I went from cordial to frosty overnight. We snipped at each other over the smallest things," Janelle wrote in the family's 2012 book titled "Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage."
Since their effort to ease the tension between them by working on Thanksgiving decorations together only added to the already rocky relationship, they talked about what they can possibly do in the upcoming family trip to Hawaii. Meri was cynical about it, saying, "I have no idea what we could do in Hawaii. Maybe we could go to the beach and see if we could build a sandcastle together. I don't know." In the end, they both agreed to do another project that would hopefully make things better.
Meri Makes Amends
There's another relationship that Meri is working on -- that with Kody (via Celeb Dirty Laundry). After the catfishing scandal, things haven't been the same and the relationship was generally cold, but they've been trying to get back on track. To make amends, Meri, who has been secretly taking art classes, gathered the adults around. Kody was in a defensive mode, worrying that Meri would have something unfortunate to announce again.
As it turned out, Meri just wanted to give them gifts. She made paintings for her husband and the sister wives that they can hung in their respective houses. Each painting has a symbolism and represents each wife. Meri sends a message through her paintings that she still wanted to be part of the family. While each wife immediately noticed their representations, Kody looked like he still needed more time to absorb what their meanings are, which Meri perfectly understood so she wasn't that disappointed.
