After the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer announced that they have opened a Family Assistance Center meant to help the victims and their families.

News 13 reported that the assistance center is open for people who were affected by the mass shooting last Sunday at the Pulse gay night club. 50 people have died from the act of terror by Omar Mateen and dozens have been injured, some are still in the hospital and are recovering. The city of Orlando said that the services are for those suffering both from physical and emotional injuries. Aside from the club goers, the staff of Pulse is also welcome in the assistance center.

Dyer was joined by Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs. The Family Assistance Center is located at the Camping World Stadium or the Orlando Citrus Bowl.

Dyer first talked about the center on Tuesday evening during a citywide prayer service that took place at the First Baptist Church. He shared, "Our goal is to quickly set up a place where you can access any and every kind of assistance you might need. Counseling, help with funeral arraignments, lodging, travel for your loved ones, a place to mourn with families of other victims, a place to go when you just don't feel like being alone."

Jacobs also chimed in saying that even if people going to the center do not need help with anything but wants to be in the company of people due to what they are going through, they are welcome.

The complete list of the services that the victims and their relatives could avail are as follows: Air Travel, Child and Family Services, Consulate Services, Counseling/Spiritual Care, Crime Victim Services, Funeral Services, Ground Transportation, Health Care Assistance, Identification Documents, Language Translation, Legal Aid, Lodging, Medical Examiner, and Senior Services.

Those who would wish to visit the center could do so but there is a list of the operation hours. On June 15 until June 17, the center is open from 10 A.M. until 8 P.M.
