"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 spoilers are noting on the possible reunion of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. The upcoming season of The CW drama is rumored to be its last because of its continuous drop in ratings and the confirmed departure of Somerhalder and Kat Graham.
While Delena fans are absolutely thrilled to hear news about the possible reunion between Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev on "TVD" Season 8, others felt otherwise. According to Design & Trend, non-Delena fans thought that Dobrev's return to the show in the finale was no longer necessary.
Several fans expressed that Dobrev's departure from "The Vampire Diaries" in Season 6 made the show a lot better. Others, however, are hoping to see Dobrev reprise her role as Katherine, and not Elena.
While it remains to be seen which character Dobrev will be reprising in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Carter Matt explored on the possible big bad for the upcoming season. Given that the show is rumored to be headed for cancellation, it would make more sense to focus on Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo as the season's big bad.
Introducing a new big bad in "TVD" Season 8 may be interesting, but there is no better way to end the show than focus more on its core characters. Since Season 7 ended with Damon and Enzo in a killing spree, this might be the show's focus in the upcoming season.
