50-year-old Janet Jackson has been in the spotlight, despite wanting to have privacy, since she announced that she and her husband are expecting their first child and her brother, Tito Jackson, debunked rumors that his sister has surrogate mother.
Entertainment Tonight reported that Janet is doing very well and is taking it easy regarding her pregnancy. He was recently interviewed on Sirius XM's Andy Cohen Live last Monday. He added that his sister is off tour as she is protecting her health.
Janet had to cancel her ongoing tour twice, once last December and the other earlier this year. For the first cancellation, Janet said that she has to undergo operation but did not specify what. Rumors surfaced saying that she was battling cancer but the singer said those reports were not true.
The second time was earlier this year when she released a video saying that her tour will be postponed again as she and her husband are preparing for their family. Back then, she did not say if they were having a child the natural way. Accordingly, Janet has been working with a fertility specialist for a while before she got pregnant.
A part of Janet's statement was: "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour."
Tito was then asked during the interview if Janet is carrying her first child. The 62-year-old reaffirmed that his sister did not get a surrogate but was not sure when the due date is. Janet and husband Wissam Al Mana's baby do not know the gender of their baby yet.
Janet's other brother, Jermaine, was also interviewed recently and he said that his sister is strict and tough so she will be a great mother.
Janet reportedly wanted to have children for a long time now. In a 2009 interview with Harper's Bazaar, she said that she is open to adopting a baby but if she is destined to have children, she believes it will happen.
